POP'N MUSIC USANEKO RAINBOW STAGE
Wait, this isn't Lapistoria OR Eclale! What's this doing here?!
(The answer is that I am so normal about the story this stage has. It's the only NaviFest stage that has a story.)
CONTEXT TO START
The dialogue on this page is from Pop'n Music うさぎと猫と少年の夢 ("The Rabbit, the Cat, and the Boy's Dream"), commonly shortened to Pop'n Music Usaneko- this is the 24th game in the series, succeeding Eclale with a steampunk vibe. It had 2 unlock events- NaviTabi and NaviFest, both involving the titular Navi. He's a little robot guy who can transform into bigger robot guys based on the emotions he gathers from songs! He's journeyed across the world in NaviTabi, now it's time for him to hold a festival to fulfill peoples' wishes! Or something like that...
Rainbow Stage is the final stage in NaviFest, unlocking 2 boss songs and the ending theme. And this is where the story happens...

The song unlocked here is 辿る君を超えて ("Following You Beyond"), commonly called Mura2mo by fans since it's connected to Fantasia's MURAKUMO - 少年は空を辿る.

The song unlocked here is No NAME Colors- this song is pretty much Usaneko's version of Anelis. It has a long version, too, and it makes me cry without fail. I might make a lyric page for it...

I think it's worth mentioning, by the way, that Estel (an Usaneko character, an elf mechanic investigating blueprints left behind by her people) has a robot that looks much like Navi in some of her animations- like a prototype of him. And its official designation (per UniLab, because she got a new song there) is "Friend". Which means Navi might be the same. And he's being a good friend here by trying to help MZD feel not lonely...
