PHANTOM
A bat-like alien shrouded in mystery, lurking in the shade of Lapistoria. Flighty yet still menacing, Phantom is very attracted to shiny things, especially the lapises that are so abundant in this world. And they seem to think they're the only one fit to have such wonderful stones, thieving them from others...
In this game, they wield the black jewel lapis.
ZADAMGA by onoken is their song.
IN THE STORY
You'd think they would have more of a role in the story given they're a little lapis thief, right? Apparently not! Their biggest role is in Roki's side story where they're just sort of a loud nuisance who gets a claim in her forest after beating her in Pop'n. Other than that, they do make a cameo in the main story near the end, along with Eclipse. For some reason, they know about Lapis Origin despite having never actually met it. This is never elaborated on. What is their secret?!

TRIVIA
- Phantom's birthday is on February 3rd.
- In their 2P palette, Phantom wields the blue jewel lapis.
- While no one else appears in Phantom's animations, Retsu's red jewel can be seen on a ring in their FEVER Win animation (1P only- in 2P it's green). They're also being attacked by flame in their Miss, presumably by Retsu.
- Playing as or against Phantom will yield teardrop effects in the background.
- According to Chihi, there were two ideas for Phantom when they were being designed- either that of a reptile or a bat. Onoken grew fond of the bat design and could easily write a song for them, so that was what was decided for them. Their design overall is based on a kaleidoscope, with their vibrant blue and pink 2P being inspired by the colors one might see in one.

What does "the sea of the moon" even mean, anyways? That's where they're from. I'm choosing to believe it means they are, in fact, an alien, but... I dunno, I really don't know. What I DO know is that they have the best 2P in the game (sorry Rinka, you got close) and I want to be them.
