A LUXURY CARPET AND THE MAGIC URN

A peddler has made her way to Lapistoria, fully prepared to sell some wares!
Clearing this story will unlock the song 歌劇 月夜のアラビア and its character, Lazuli.

Episode 1: A Peddler Appears

ENGLISH JAPANESE
You there, mister cat! Come over here real quick!~
(Albireo enters the scene.)
(Mister cat...?)
What is it?

Here! Today's featured item is this urn!

Put it in your living room! Your study! An alcove! No matter where you put it, it's gonna look great!~ リビングに!
(Albireo inches a little closer.)
...? Ah, you must be a peddler. ...An urn, hm... Let's see...

Episode 2: Magic Urn (魔法のツボ)

ENGLISH JAPANESE
Hm... My sincerest apologies, meow. I do not feel very inclined towards this...
*rattle rattle...*

Mrow?! The urn... did it just move?
Wh-what're you talking about?! Th-there's no such thing as an urn that can move on its own...
*roll...*
...it's rolling by itself...?

R-right, that's right! This strange moving urn is one-of-a-kind! You won't find one like it anywhere in the world! And it's real cheap, too...!

No thank you, I'll pass... meow.

Episode 3: Luxury Carpet (高級じゅうたん)

ENGLISH JAPANESE
That's... Ah! That's not all- I'll throw in this carpet with the deal, too! A high quality Persian carpet!

Oh, my! What a wonderful carpet! I believe this could go in the restaurant... meow!

Alrighty! Adding the urn, that'll be 10,000,000 Paseli! *
...mrow? Ten million...?
For your patronage, how about I lower it to 9,980,000 Paseli?!

Um... I do not have that kind of money... and I said nothing about buying it in the first place...
Oh no, no! This isn't good!~ I'm only gonna do this once, okay? 9,950,000 Paseli! Final offer!
* (No currency is specified in the original text. I assumed at first that it was yen because... well, this is a Japanese game- but Lapistoria is its own world. Ultimately, a friend of mine suggested I use Paseli for the currency, both because it's Konami-flavored yen and because it's actually canon to Pop'n starting with UniLab. Seems like a nice universial currency, right?)

Episode 4: Hard Sell?

(歌劇 月夜のアラビア will be available for play.)

ENGLISH JAPANESE
Mrr... I have to go to work now...
WAIT WAIT WAIT! Hold on a sec! How about... um... how about you trade your lapis for the goods?!
No. I cannot allow that.
In that case... Play Pop'n with me! If I win, we'll do the trade- your lapis for my wares! And if you win, I'll give you just the urn!

...but I have no need for the urn...

Let's go! Are you ready?!
How troubling...

Final Episode: Where the Urn Ends Up (ツボの行方)

ENGLISH JAPANESE
Oof! You're pretty good! Can't be helped, then- as promised, you'll get the urn!
I will pass, thank you... meow.
Ah, well. Hope to see you again soon anyways!
(Albireo backs away.)
She was quite a pushy one...
(Akane enters the scene.)
Oh! You there, young lady! Would you be interested in this urn? It can move on its own, so it'll be a fun toy!~

Hm...? An urn...?
Ooh, are you interested? Where's your mom and dad, then?
Unbelievable... her business spirit is indomitable, meow...

(Upon clearing this story, 歌劇 月夜のアラビア will be available in the Lapistoria folder for permanent play, and Lazuli will become playable.)
(I may end up revisiting this one. Lazuli is hard to translate because of her Kansai dialect...)
