ドーナツ方程式

A certain scientist is once again pondering the nature of this universe... with donuts.
Clearing this story will unlock the song √太陽系◎ドーナツ化計画∞∀∞ and its character, Root@ChoDouKen.
And yes, I'm gonna use the American spelling for donut. I'm American and this is my site and the other spelling looks weird to me.

Episode 1: Donut Ring (ドーナツの輪)

	I have yet to reach the universe within this ring...	いまだこの輪の中の宇宙にたどりつけず・・・
	Far too many variables are at play...	変数が多すぎる・・・
	(Nicolas enters the scene.)
	Hm? Is that Root?	あれ るー先輩？
	She's staring through the donut hole so intensely...	るー先輩がドーナツの穴を見つめながら ぼーっとしている・・・
	In other words, it's business as usual for her...	まあ 極めていつも通りだね・・・
	...a particle! One assumed to be identical in solidity to Nicolas there!	・・・質点！ そこの ニコラ氏との同一固体性が 仮定される質点！
	Please stop calling other humans "particles"...	人間のことを 霞点と呼ぶのはやめてください・・・
	(It's surprising how informal Root's emails are compared to how she is in person, though.)	るー先輩 メールだと くだけた話し方なのになあ

(Nicolas calls Root "Roo-senpai" which is very nice to me. Also, not sure how to translate 質点 (shitsuten)...)

Episode 2: Donuts and the Universe (ドーナツと宇宙)

	I was contemplating the universe.	宇宙について考察していた

	(Rars enters the scene.)
	(The universe...?!)	宇宙だって・・・？！
	Ah, Rars. Do you like it as well? (referring to donut)	あ ラーズ君 好きかな? (ドーナツ)
	N-no... I don't! I don't like the universe!	い いや・・・ 好きじゃないぞ！ 宇宙など！
	(Root approaches Rars.)
	Hm...... hrm... mhm, mhm.	む・・・・・・ む・・・ むむ
	P-please... don't... stare at the top of my head like that...	わ・・・私の・・・頭頂部を・・・ そんなに凝視しないで頂きたい・・・
	This angle, maybe...	角度とか・・・
	Looks like she's interested in the angles your hair makes, Rars.	ラーズ君の頭の角度が 気になってるみたいだね

Episode 3: Super Electro Donut Research Club (超電子ドーナツ研究部)

(Otherwise known as ChoDouKen (chō denshi dōnatsu kenkyū-bu).)

	This is a brief return to inductive reasoning. I wish to sample more minds.	一度 帰納的推論に立ち返り 思考のサンプルを増やすことにした
	In other words, you're trying to get more members for the Donut Club? It sounds like a good idea, but I don't know if we should be doing it outside of the school...	ドー研の部員を増やすということですね 外でやらなくてもとは思いますが・・・
	(Rars enters the scene, dripped out in donut goods.)
	Why am I being dragged into this scheme...?	何故 私も付き合わされているのだ
	Now that you mention it, I'm not in the club, either, so... Ah! Some children are coming our way.	それを言ったら僕も部員じゃないんですけど・・・ あ 子供たちが集まってきましたよ
	(Minit's and Gerhard enter the scene.)
	Donuts! Do you guys study donuts?! Can I have some, pretty please?	ドーナツ！ ドーナツをけんきゅうするの？！ たべればいいの？
	I heard that if you join this club, you can eat all the donuts you want!	この会に入ると ドーナツ食べ放題って 聞いたんだけど
	Wonderful... To see such immature particles so interested in the topological perspective...!	すばらしい・・・ 未成熟な点が これほどトポロジーに 傾倒しているとは・・・
	Right! Our Reuleaux triangle* is here! The donuts! Prepare the donuts!	よし！ そこのルーロー三角形！ ドーナツだ！ ドーナツを用意しろ！
	Are... you talking to me? Wh-why must I prepare the donuts...	わ・・・私のことか？ な・・・何故私がドーナツを・・・

* (A Reuleaux triangle is pretty much a rounded triangle. If you make a 3-circle Venn diagram and connect the points where the circles overlap in the center, you'll get one of these.)

Episode 4: Showdown (対決)

	(Minit's and Gerhard exit view as Nicolas and Rars enter view.)
	The Reuleaux triangle... Youuu... you're the one who made donuts without holes in them...	ルーロー三角形・・・ 貴様・・・もしや穴の無いドーナツを・・・
	Is... is there a problem...?	な・・・なにか問題が・・・
	YOUUU!! YOU BLASTED ALLY OF EUCLID!!! **	貴様！さてはユークリッドの手の者だな！
	Wh-what's going on?!	ど どういうことだ
	Root, p-please... calm down...	るー先輩 お・・・落ち着いて・・・
	UNFORGIVABLE! Atone for your crimes in a battle, the likes of which only Tartaglia and Fior can compete with!!! ***	勝負だ！ タルタリアとフィオルになぞらえた 韶式高き勝負だ！
	In other words, she's calling a Pop'n battle. Good luck, Rars.	ポップンバトルということですね ラーズ君 がんばってね
	Why... why is this happening...	な・・・何故こんなことに・・・

* (Comparable to jelly donuts. No hole. Full of red bean paste.)
** (All that matters here is that anything without straight lines is a non-Euclidian shape.)

Final Episode: Donuts Are Yummy (ドーナツはおいしい)

	Looks like she's lost in thought again. *munch-munch*	また思考に入ってしまいましたね もぐもぐ
	I still don't get what she was talking about earlier. *munch-munch*	彼女の言っていることは理解不能だ もぐもぐ
	I don't think it matters. What does matter is that these donuts are really yummy! *nom-nom*	いいんじゃないの ドーナツはおいしいってことでさー もぐもぐ
	Right? ♪ Sooo yummy! ♪ *nom-nom*	ねー♪ おいしいね♪ もぐもぐ
	Hm... right, these donut things are quite delicious. *munch-munch*	うむ・・・ このドーナツというものはおいしいな もぐもぐ

(Upon clearing this story, √太陽系◎ドーナツ化計画∞∀∞ will be available in the Lapistoria folder for permanent play, and Root will become playable. She is the final character unlockable through sidestories (but that doesn't mean she has to be YOUR final character lol). Rars' donuts costume will also be unlocked if that's something you're into- his animations are the same and there's no 2P for this one.)
